Not Ted’s Turn today as Admired Beauty wins for Bolger

It was just not his turn today, as Ted’s Turn 6/1 for Joseph G Murphy is pipped at the post by Admired Beauty for Jim Bolger, The favourite Iveagh House 5/6 AP O’Brien has his race ran 2f out , it was  definitely Admired Beauty Day after her last run in cork finished 10th to Alpine Wedding who went on to finish 2nd in the Darley Fillies Stakes (Group 3) at the Curragh

It was not Ted’s Turn today. Joseph G Murphy’s 6/1 chance looked to have the Irish EBF Maiden at Naas in safe keeping, only to be caught on the line by Admired Beauty for Jim Bolger.

The favourite, Iveagh House at 5/6 for Aidan O’Brien, had his race run two furlongs out and could not get involved. It was Admired Beauty’s day. She came into the race off a tenth at Cork behind Alpine Wedding, and that one has since finished second in the Darley Fillies Stakes (Group 3) at the Curragh.

Andy Slattery got her up by a nose. It was her first win, at the fourth time of asking, and the step up to a mile looked the making of her. Ted’s Turn did plenty right in front; he just got nabbed in the last stride.
