Paul Nicholls landed the Grade One Juvenile Hurdle on Thursday on the opening day of the Aintree Festival with the exciting Monmiral who remains unbeaten.
This 4-year-old son of Saint Des Saints has been introduced to the 2022 Arkle at 14/1 at the Cheltenham Festival with BoyleSports. This young talent quickened up after the last hurdle to win by 7½ lengths to Adagio to justify his short odds of 10/11.
Nicholls recorded a quick fire double at the Grand National venue with Clan Des Obeaux who was a comfortable winner of the Grade One Bowl Chase beating Clondaw Castle by a massive 26 lengths. His odds have been trimmed into the 7/1 joint favourite from 14/1 to win another King George this year. Tiger Roll dropped back early on in the race but ran on to grab fourth place.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “The Cheltenham Festival has only just finished, and we are already seeing interest for the 2022 running. Monmiral is 14/1 for the Arkle following his easy success at Aintree on Thursday. Clan Des Obeaux won by 26 lengths and is 7/1 joint favourite from 14/1 to win another King George this December.”
