Irish jockey extended his strong recent run on Wednesday by securing another winner at Catterick following a long journey for his mounts.
Shane Gray, based in the north of England, traveled to the North Yorkshire track for two rides. His first mount finished second after a close contest in a handicap event.
Thirty-five minutes later, he returned to the winners’ enclosure aboard a four-year-old trained by Karl Burke. The horse completed a seven-furlong handicap victory by two lengths.
This latest success follows a double at Ayr on Tuesday after a previous double at Newcastle the preceding Friday.
The jockey’s current streak has seen several long-priced winners in a short period, underlining continued strong form.
