The Irish Thoroughbred Marketing [ITM] Irish Stallion Trail will take place next weekend, Friday 10th and Saturday 11th January 2025.
The Irish Stallion Trail is an annual showcase for the Irish thoroughbred breeding industry, with stallion farms across Ireland opening their doors to breeders and the general public.
Over 30 stallion farms will participate in the Trail, including Ballylinch, Boardsmill, Castlehyde, Coolmore, Irish National Stud, Kildangan, Rathasker, Rathbarry & Glenview, Tally-Ho, Yeomanstown, and many more.
Some of the world’s top stallions of both the flat and National Hunt stand in Ireland, including global Group One stallion No Nay Never, Constitution Hill’s sire Blue Bresil, multiple Group One sire Dark Angel (IRE), and four-time Ascot Gold Cup hero Yeats (IRE).
The ITM Irish Stallion Trail is a completely free event but visitors are simply asked to register which studs they intend to visit for information purposes.
Registrations allow studs to get an idea of the numbers they can expect. Visitors are then free to visit their chosen studs at the time of their choosing, within the studs’ advertised opening hours.
It is compulsory to register for a specific time slot when visiting Coolmore Stud.
A list of stallions is available here, while a list of stud farms participating in the ITM Irish Stallion Trail can be viewed here.
