“Queen Of Zafeen” Targets Classic Glory in Listed BetMGM Spring Cup

“The upcoming Listed BetMGM Spring Cup at Lingfield Park on Thursday, March 7, promises an exciting showdown,” says trainer Richard Hughes, as his unbeaten filly, Queen Of Zafeen, aims to continue her winning streak. “She is just so straightforward,” he adds, reflecting on her promising debut at Southwell and subsequent victory at Lingfield Park last month.

“With her trainer eyeing potential entries in prestigious races like the Guineas,” Queen Of Zafeen’s performance will be closely watched by racing enthusiasts,” Hughes emphasizes. “I would imagine that she will get a mile,” he speculates, hinting at future aspirations for the filly.

Other contenders include recent Al Rayyan Mile runner-up Orne and rising star Habrdi, trained by Jane Chapple-Hyam. “We have targeted this race with a view of going to Finals Day for the Burradon Stakes,” Chapple-Hyam explains, expressing confidence in Habrdi’s abilities.

“Watch My Tracer from George Scott’s stable and Ahlain, representing James Tate and owner Sultan Ali,” are also expected to put up a strong challenge, notes Hughes. The competitive field also features Lessay, trained by Andrew Balding, who has shown promise with a winning debut at Kempton Park.
